Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using PawDates ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PawDates. By using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms along with our Privacy Policy.

To use PawDates, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the App under any applicable laws
• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Keep your account information up to date
• Notify us immediately at support@pawdates.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person
• Not create more than one account per person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose a risk to other users or their pets.

You agree to use PawDates only for its intended purpose — connecting pet owners for playdates and socialisation. You must not:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm other users
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive information about yourself or your pets
• Use the App to solicit money, goods, or services from other users (other than legitimate pet-related transactions)
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or copy content from the App without our written permission
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
• Upload content that is offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate
• Impersonate any person, pet, or entity

You retain ownership of the content you upload to PawDates, including photos, descriptions, and messages. By uploading content, you grant PawDates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the App.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your pet profiles. You agree to:

• Only create profiles for pets you own or are the primary caretaker of
• Accurately represent your pet's breed, temperament, vaccination status, and any relevant health conditions
• Keep your pet's profile up to date

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.

PawDates facilitates connections between pet owners, but we are not responsible for what happens during in-person playdates. By arranging a playdate through the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You meet other users and their pets entirely at your own risk and discretion
• You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your pet
• You are responsible for any damage, injury, or loss caused by your pet during a playdate
• You will ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations before meeting other pets
• You will supervise your pet at all times during playdates
• PawDates does not vet, verify, or endorse any user or their pet

All content, design, code, trademarks, and intellectual property within PawDates — excluding user-generated content — is owned by or licensed to PawDates. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

The PawDates name, logo, and brand are our trademarks. You may not use them without prior written consent.

PawDates is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any user profiles, pet information, or content on the App is accurate or truthful

We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline, or for any interactions or meetings that result from use of the App.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PawDates and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, or profit
• Personal injury or property damage arising from playdates arranged through the App
• Any harm caused by another user or their pet
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim (or KWD 10 if you have not made any payments).

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by contacting us at support@pawdates.app.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, endangered other users or their pets, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email.

Your continued use of PawDates after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
